Patient Testimonial

PATIENT NAME : RAINA
TAC Procedure
How did you understand that you have cervical incompetence ?

I had a previous miscarriage at 18 weeks, where the scan showed that my cervix was opening and its length was around 2.2 cm. I was given an emergency vaginal stitch, but despite that, the cervix shortened further. A pessary was inserted at 20 weeks, and i was placed on complete bed rest. However, within four days of the pessary insertion, it began leaking, and I was advised to stay on elevated bed rest until 24 weeks. At that point, I started bleeding and had to deliver.

Any pregnancy loss or any other problem in getting pregnant ?

I experienced a pregnancy loss at 25 weeks. However, there were no issues with getting pregnant.

What were the signs of complication you saw ?

In my previous loss, at 18 weeks, i observed a change in my vaginal discharge, which turned watery.

Did you go to any other doctor before coming over (no need to mention the doctor or hospital) to aikya and getting treatment from DR Sunil ?

Yes, I consulted a couple of doctors to decide whether to opt for a TVC or TAC in my next pregnancy.

Were you advised by DR Sunil to take rest or to continue with your daily activity ?

I was advised to take modified rest, with strict instructions to avoid traveling and limit walking to only 5-10 minutes at home.

What was the procedure done on you by Dr Sunil Eshwar ?

Attending TAC with sir was a transformative experience, and i am truly grateful for making this choice.

Where there any tests or reports prescribed by the doctor ?

Numerous tests for APLA were conducted after one of the gynecologists suggested that i was APLA positive. However, after reviewing the test reports, sir confirmed that i am not.

Where you advised laparoscopic procedure done on you ?

Sir performed laparoscopic TAC on me

Was it painful ?

I was under anesthesia during the procedure, but it was painful afterward. It took me a week to fully recover, including healing from the stitches.

How was your emotional well being before the procedure was done and after the procedure ?

I felt confident and was doing well, thanks to the support and encouragement from my family and Sir.

Till your delivery how did your check up’s go and what was the support you got ?

As Aikya was quite far, i consulted sir until about 9–10 weeks into my pregnancy, during which everything went well. To avoid the strain of traveling, i then started consulting a nearby gynecologist.

Are there any other complications after your delivery ?

There were no complications.
